Really need at least a week to take in all the amazing activities available for this tourist gem. Take time to explore the hoodoos, Bow Falls, Surprise corner just to mention a few. Something for everyone - outdoors, tourist, sport - just check it out when planning your trip to this amazing town in the heart of the Rockies. For a meaningful cultural experience honour the first nations people with a visit to their museum in Banff.

Last time I was in Banff was 24 years ago, and it hasn’t changed a bit, other than small bits of modern technology. It’s clean everywhere, extremely well maintained. It’s the kind of place you want to be frozen in time in almost every way, and that only thing they add is modern connectivity. The Bad: is they rape your wallet at every turn.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Banff is a beautiful little town right in the mountains. The views are fantastic and the walk along the Bow River is gorgeous. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, lots of shops and lots if things to do and see. It’s easy to walk around as it isn’t big but it is flat. There are buses to nearby places you may wish to visit too. One thing to note is that Banff is in a national park and as such there is a daily fee to be there.D6EDWUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Incredible natural beauty that starts right in the town of Banff and continues all around it. Glad I didn't visit during the busiest season though as it was already starting to be crowded, but much less then in the summer.

This time of year end of May was perfect not to hot not to cold ..it wasn't as busy as it is in the summer ..had so much fun will do it again soon..and love the spa cedar and sage highly recommend. Still an easy walk to the main drag, but you don't need to go anywhere else. If you've hired a rental car, it's an easy exit off the Trans Canada Highway, a short drive to Lynx Street and parking is right under the hotel. Laundry facilities downstairs which is handy if you've been on the road for a while! We ended paying to upgrade our initial booking to a loft room with bigger windows and a view. (see comments below)

Close to Tunnel Mountain trail hike, as well as a nice walk that takes you over to the Banff Centre, the Bow River and beautiful views of the Fairmont hotel. Really enjoyed the woodburning fireplace and kindling with self-serve chopped wood.

We had a suite which included a kitchenette but did not have a cooktop. We were in a suit unit but it was a bit small for 4 people after 4 nights. The staff in this hotel was really helpful. Our freezer in our unit was not working properly the day we checked in and immediately, there were 2 different people who came to evaluate the situation and found a solution.

For a small fee we were moved to a room with a great view of the mountains. Super comfy beds, no noise, friendly staff and fresh coffee tea and milk brought to our room daily. It’s a 15/20 minute walk into Banff which suited us, there’s a free shuttle if you prefer. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t comment on the food. Would definitely recommend
